3 SEPTEMBER 1954 - PORTH

8.30 PM. Mr. L. Bailey of David Street, Porth, who was with his wife and child at the time said that the object was flying in an easterly direction over the top of the Rhondda Valley. He described it as having a yellow head and a red tail.

His wife was the first to see it and then Mr. Bailey saw it for "just over a second" before it disappeared.

It came back, however, and he saw it again.
